These days I'm drinking much more water and I feel much better because of it. I'm told that most of us westerners are dehydrated because we don't drink enough water. I think the recommended amount is two litres a day - can't say I drink that much, though!

Had a failed trip to France yesterday. Came back dehydrated. Passport difficulty. And we're supposed to be in the EC!

Cleaning up after someone's been ill - not something I've had to do recently. Hero!
Actually, come to think of it, I've done a fair bit of cleaning up after someone who's had an upset tummy, or who hasn't reached the loo in time, so that sounds familiar.
EC = European Community, BTW. We're not supposed to need passports.

What we did was paint one of the walls in the front room cream (from dark pink), project the latest Star Wars DVD onto it and so we literally watched paint dry!
Then we moved furniture big time, put another coat of paint on the wall and then watched two more films - Star Wars episode one and 'my Big Fat Greek Wedding'. (Watching paint dry again!)
If life hands you lemons, make lemonade!

i wrote a play about this college student trying to write a paper. and one of the things that goes worng is his girlfriend and roommate keep changing the paper. and at one point the paper is a study as to the differences between watching paint dry and watching modern day soap operas, after hours of gathering data, the guy decideds there is no difference.
but thats no the point that was a really long round about of getting to the point the point is life has flipped a 180 and is going great.

Great! Enjoy it while it lasts.
One reason for me having such a good Easter weekend was that when my plans went badly wrong, I decided it was no big deal and got on with something else.

i completely spaced out the fact that it was easter, and only barely remembered in time to get Alison some truffles.

Apparently it was St George's day yesterday. I went to the gym and saw it on TV. Completely passed me by. Mind you, having little , with his hunger for Easter eggs, there's no way that I could have not known Easter was coming. Nag, nag, nag ... It's not always mothers nagging kids, you know!

Oh, yes. I know the delight of sleeping enough.
Most people these days, I'm told, when asked how long they like to sleep could happily say 'About five minutes longer!'.
Someone gave me a technique for sleeping. This involves pressing your index finger and thumbs together lightly and concentrating on them. This takes your thoughts away from all the stuff that normally whizzes through your head. Then as you fall off to sleep our fingers and thumb part gently. If you wake up again, start over and you will eventually fall asleep., Worth a try?

Yum! I'm off with my chap today to a presentation where I think they're going to try to sell us time-share, and we're hoping to get a free holiday out of it, without the strings. Wish us luck!
