Yes, we all need to feel cared for and appreciated and it hurts when it doesn't happen. Happened to my when my marriage failed. It's lovely to have someone really appreciate me now!

Hi Dorian,
A bit of info on reiki.

The first one mentions my teacher, Barbara Macgregor, who was simply wonderful.

Yes - it is cool - or rather hot - you develop hot hands. I'm told that mine feel like balls of fire. On myself they just feel hot, if I need energy in a particular place. Other people have felt the energy as cool.
When I was practicing, I felt my hands as cold on another person, and she felt them as hot.
I've had experience of shiatsu and that's pretty . Must make you a popular person.

Well, I have a seven year old son (who is really cute) and I manage a team of accident prevention officers for a local authority (home and road safety). Keeps me busy!
I'm a reasonably good singer and I do t'ai chi and qigong. Amonst other things.

not bad. yeah, i'm still a student, and will be for about 8 more years, and then i'll finally be out of grad school.

Yes, I enjoyed my student years. My life changed during them. It changed even more when I had my son. You wouldn't believe how much. I don't think I really appreciated my parents until then.

Remind me what age you are and I'll tell you what my interests were at the same age. (I'd bet that boys and music featured large - although in my day, computers were large things that took up a room - or tiny things that you could play ping-pong on, but not much else - eg the Sinclair ZX/Spectrum.)
