I have to admit I'm new to this and I've just been reading some conversations, and I don't quite get it just yet.
Please enlighten me with anything you feel is invaluable for getting to know people in this site.
Cheers, Nic xxx

I think that a good way to start is by reading a few homepages. You can do this by clicking on the who's on line link then clicking on any names that you might like. You can also click on the name at the top of a message to go to the user page of that person this give you some idea of what to chat about.

Well, you know, I wasn't uncouth or anything.
i wonder if there are any organizations dealing with toilet roll.
I doubt it really...it's not a subject you could intellectualise over is it? the reason i reached this site in the first place, is because I did a search for a vicar in England who unfortunately died when he put his head in a lion's mouth in 1937. I was interested in this because my grandfather met him just before the incident and had nightmares for years afterwards. So anyway I was amazed that people talk about stuff like that.

Actually, you're not the first person to ask that... even more frightening was the person who asked "who is DNA?". (Doug Adams, just in case you don't know)

Does not know what h2g2 means you are the weakest link...
It could be worse i remember the first time i saw the power rangers (this was after the film was made)i was amazed that it was not a cartoon i had bought things for my nephew with power rangers on for over a year before this and of course they were on crisps and packet fronts but i had never seen it just thought that it must be a cartoon.

One of my friends has an older sister that used to watch Power Rangers--- willingly.
