I really liked that. One of the things I never learned on my degree was pith: I think all philosophy grads suffer a similar handicap.
Nice to know English grads aren't similarly affected.

Actually I consider myself a Philosophy graduate first and a Literatur-ist (or whatever) second - if I had my time again I would probably do Philosophy and History.
Or 'Common Sense Studies', which some would have us believe contains the answers to everything....
