That's very kind of you to say.

I'd say that John Rawls is without doubt the most important political philosopher in a generation (even his opponents say that!), and probably second only to Karl Marx in importance on the 'left'. It's criminal that he's not better known, although in fairness his book is very, very dull in spite of the ideas being immensely fascinating.

If a few more people have heard of him because of that entry, it was time very well spent!

Just thought you would like to know that I have recently enlightened another couple of people about Rawls via your entry.

h2g2 has become a rather strange place recently - I'm not sure entirely what to make of it, or whether to bother. But I keep getting sucked back in....

Indeed, I still read with interest, but in truth I have less time to post.

I think it is interesting how the prevelant "wind" of popular opinion on the site has moved to the right over the last couple of years.
