Welcome back
spimcoot Posted Mar 8, 2012
~jwf~! Always a pleasure my dear fellow! Forgive me for not dropping by sooner; wasn't sure how to play the return so I decided to mooch around until until next Monday when keen readers of the Post would be sure to spot me. And how charming of you to have kept a home pipe burning all these years. Having tackled a puff or two of pipe smoking in my time I know it's hard enough to keep the bally things going for more than five minutes.
I took a squizz at the Manchester thread - haven't commented there as the topic's moved on - but it's all true. There's no publication date for the book yet more specific than 'next year' but I shall be sure to mention it here when I know.
And how are you? Thriving I do hope and trust.

Thriving is perhaps a moot point in anything but an organic
sense but, yes, your hope and trust are well founded and
much appreciated. I am generally healthy and happy.
Good to hear your voice again.
I look forward to on Monday.

In the meantime I came across this quote of yours
from a thread below one of your Papercuts entries.
"Have you any idea how long it takes to beat someone with polystyrene?
Why, you can be at it half an hour before they even realise you're there."

I'd entirely forgotten writing that, which is good because it means I don't have to feel guilty finding it funny (not that I'm above vanity, you understand).
Key: Complain about this post
