A long dry bank holiday weekend
Posted Aug 25, 2001
I am on an enforced dry weekend. No at all, because I am running in a 10KM race on sunday at Auckland Castle.
This is one of the better road races in the northeast (except it is a two lap course). It starts near the Bishop of Durhams residence Auckland Castle. Very Picturesque.
After the race I am returning home to watch my favourite football team Newcastle United play the arch rival Sunderland (Booooo!). Watching Newcastle over the past few years has becoming increasingly painful. Please let us win just this one match.

London Marathon
Posted Aug 15, 2001
I have posted my entry for the 2002 London Marathon. If I get in, this will be my fourth marathon.
I am hoping for a time between 3:30 and 3:40. The thought of running three hours training sessions during the winter is still a long way off, and therefore I am very excited.
Is anyone interested in hearing about my Marathon and the training that goes with it. If they do, I will publish my training schedule and my thoughts and feelings and pains.

Last Friday
Posted Aug 15, 2001

His opinion on lager though valid is wrong (see my quest to write the perfect lager Haiku), and I would like to appologise for the nasty Haiku about Culloden. If that person reads it, it was the copious amounts of Absolut vodka

what I did during my holiday in cyberspace
Posted Aug 8, 2001
First real session today on h2g2, set a couple of things into motion. I want to write a collaborative piece, this is in the pipeline with a bit on public transport ettiquete. I have spoken to a number of new on-line chums who pointed me at a couple of bizzare areas. As a result I have become a passenger on 'The Blood of The Zaphodistas' as a dark character in cabin #101. More to follow. I have taken part in the Haiku Challenge, which was fun.
All in all I am having fun.
