I was just wondering because I'm going up to glasgow to visit relatives in two weeks I thought I might pop in if you are in the area.

I live in Glasgow, handily enough. This might be an opportunity for a mini-meet. If you can give me some dates in the future, I can give the SRG a shout and see if anyone fancies joining us.

Its the last week of August I'm up. I'll be leaving late on the friday/early on the saturday and staying 'till next friday. I will be doing some things with my family though and I'm not sure when yet - I'll find out. Also I don't know the city very well so I'm not sure how to get places - I'll be in an area called Pollok if you know where that is.

Glasgow has an excellent public transport network, including an Underground, so it's quite easy to get around.
I know parts of Glasgow well, but not the whole city. I know the name Pollok but I can't picture where it is.
I'll try and get a mini-meet going (there are quite a few researchers in Glasgow) and I'd be happy to show you some of the city (although sadly the magnificent Victorian "Kelvingrove Museum" is currently shut for refurbishment until 2006).

Three years for refubishment! they could knock it down and rebuild it in that time. And yeah, that'd be excellent.

Right, I'm going to leave to get there late this Friday. I'll leave for Birmgham about the same time next Friday. In the intermediate period I can guarantee that I'll be able do do something this weekend, after that I'm not sure.
This is very short notice I know, so if nothing comes of it I don't mind. Then again I'm told its not usually too difficult to get the scottish researchers to gather in a pub

Cool. I'll put a message on the SRG and we can get cracking.

Right, I've posted the message proposing either Saturday night or Sunday for a mini-meet. I'm in Edinburgh on Friday night, so it's ruled out

Okay if you think it can be organised this late, but I'll drop offline about 3pm tommorow so a decision will be needed by then :/

'kay I've got to go offline now - but I still don't know where&when we're meeting. So I'll have to give you my phone number. I *do not* want anyone other than Zagreb to take this number - in fact once you have it yikes this post and get it deleted. (Read as you normally would i.e. left to right then top to bottom - just protecting from random searches)
