Welcome to another of Ottox's Fan Clubs.
I might as well lead off with some jokes.
A huge research project on humor has confirmed
that Americans find the following joke to be the
funniest:
Man: Hello? Is this the hospital? My friend and I
just got back from a hunting trip. Well, a few minutes
ago, my friend collapsed on the floor, clutching his
chest. He turned blue, and stopped breathing.
Nurse: First, you need to make sure that he's dead.
Man: Okay. Okay, now what?
The project also documented a gender difference.
The above joke, involving some violence, would be
likely to appeal more to men than women. Women
prefer jokes with some wordplay, such as:
A man walks into a bar with a chunk of macadam
under his arm. He says to the bartender, "I'd
like a pint for myself, and one for the road."

Thank you, thank you!
The Swedish found the following joke very funny:
A man calls the hospital to ask for help
for his wife, who has started labor. The
doctor says, "Is this her first child?"
The man replied, "No, this is her husband."

I meant identities... I'm not good at remembering jokes. Got part of a song stuck in my head tonight though...

I have parts of hundreds of songs romping
around in my head. Bits and pieces of old
vaudeville numbers, really weird novelty
songs from Broadway musicals you've never
heard of, Smothers Brothers takeoffs on
"Onward Christian Soldiers," marches for
lemmings, songs about insanity by Flanders
and Swann, Professor Peter Schickele's
woolly-minded introductions to inept newly-
discovered pieces by P.D.Q. Bach, Alan
Sherman's zany lyrics for old favorites.
It's a wonder I can function at all.
