Well NASA didn't write back, so here I am
As a child I always expected that I would be asked by NASA to become an astronaut. I watched all the movies, I read all the books (h2g2 amongst them, obviously) and I even managed to learn the order the planets went in (I figured that it would be useful if I knew which way to turn the spacecraft after I'd managed to get into orbit).
Well, after over 30 years on the planet it seems that nobody wants to take me to another one, so I may as well find out as much as I can about this one.
All in all the world has been good to me, and I just want to say thanks to it - as soon as I figure out who's in charge up there I'll drop them a line, but for now this will have to do.
If I can't be an astronaut, at least I can now be a on h2g2.
