thot's goot, then... I thought that maybe it was some obscure way of spelling vulture, however I couldn't really see how that applies to Amy P., other than being from the same part of America...
peace.

Hmm... I thought it was either a typo for vulture (not very nice, really, and unOttoxlike) or the Danish equivilent of a packrat (definately!)
(Remember, packrat=magpie)

was that a simulpost?
which brings me to my next question... what's a magpie, and how does it = packrat?
peace.

Of course you don't pretend--you are one!
OK, packrats collect stuff and hold onto it forever. So do magpies. Packrat is the American term, and magpie is the British one. This has been discussed here before, but it *was* quite a few pages ago...

I knew the Amerikan term... however, I was thinking that a magpie was a bird...

I know you know what a packrat is, Theory... I was redefining it for the non-Americans here. And magpies are birds, just like packrats are rodents... It's just that both have the same habit...

I can see a magpie from my window as I post. It's a big bird about the size of a seagull (thinks - does Amy see seagulls from where she lives?)
It has a black back and a white tummy with a green bar along the wings. The tail is black and as long as the body. I found no pics on the BBC site but google images gave me some....

I don't like them, not because they pinch glittery things but they eat the eggs from robin, thrush and blackbirds in my garden.
