The countdown was for POETS (friday) or the last day of work. Then we went away to christmas and came back THING (thursday) the day be fore yesterday. We left all of a sudden.

Yours and the captain's xmas presents arein the mail and I hope they arrive soon if not already. Megan loved hers from you as did I mine

The Christmas presents you sent arrived yesterday, THANK YOU!!!!! Hope you went somewhere nice.. We went to Garth's place and watched Goldfinger (DVD), Lord of the Rings:Fellowship of the Rings (video) and a 1939 film of Sherlock Holmes' Hound of the Baskervilles (video $3.99 from the Warehouse.) The last was Hilarious! It red Basil Rathbone and was so funny *because* it was so serious!

Tom's been my penfriend since 1984, they live in Liverpool, his birthday is 7th May 1936 and I met him because I was tracing the family, and put an advert in a Liverpool newspaper. He thought he'd been at school with my Dad and he replied. Even though he mistook the generation (!) we kept writing and over the 18 years (!) I've told him all about my friends and family
