If you just want to play at the command line there is a list of basic *nix command over at http://www.ss64.demon.co.uk/bash/

The Cygwin dll should be added automatically which is what speeds up progs like the Gimp.


If you want to get advanced info on KDE for cygwin can be found at http://kde-cygwin.sourceforge.net/

SDF have two telnet servers

sdf-eu.org

&

sdf.lonestar.org

it doesn’t really matter which you use as the Bulletin Board is shared between the two

Once you have logged in as a new user type

bboard

to bring up the bulletin board

then type

help

to bring up a list of commands for using it.

I suggest you try the "BSD" thread.

And just a point of interest the SDF servers run on NetBSD
