I am happy to be here having read all 5 of the Hitchhiker Trilogy and listened to the complete BBC Radio Series more than just a few times. My speciality is Statistics and I plan to research that area. Perhaps I can discover the true nature of the Improbability Drive and use it to ease the fuel shortage or light up the state of California. I am also attracted to such subjects as Simpson's Paradox where things are not as they appear and to the Mobius Strip a three dimenional object with only one side.
