Hi smiley - erm I was wondering Pootle was still in need of a loving home, my flatmate has his driving test soon, and he likes Beetles, and refers to driving as "to pootle around" so this could be a match made in heaven...

Funnily enough, I got a call from my Dad yesterday, she just passed her MOT smiley - smiley

However, because there are so many weird things about her (it turned out that the suspension [I think] has motorbike in its ancestry the brakes set up is unusual and the heating is still non existent)

I probably wont sell her, esp as I still need a car of my own at this end (the train to work is not as easy as I first hoped)

I would worry what I was letting any new owner in for smiley - smiley

So I shall be driving her back from Portsmouth after Christmas smiley - brr

Sorry for the messing about smiley - erm but I think this the best, even though I could have done with the money smiley - sadface

It's ok smiley - biggrin My flatmate hasn't actually passed his driving test yet, but he's a lot keener than I was! and he has a list of target cars, Beetles, Mini's and Smart cars, oh and 2CVs.

I'm glad she'll keep her loving owner!.

I do hope that you're okay anyway? and Merry Christmas.. smiley - biggrin

PS. this is a bit silly, but I'm half considering moving to Scotland when I graduate - how easy is it for the English to be accepted socially?

I have no problems at all smiley - smiley I don't know if being a lass helps smiley - erm

I would think a arrogant lad who talked down to people wouldn't get very far, but then I don't think you would be smiley - winkeye

I find Glasgow a lovely City there are all the facilities you could hope for, but it still feels friendly

Live is good, I'm just a bit skint, but working on that, I have gained some piece work from my second job, and am doing a couple of sewing jobs so that helps.

Happy Christmas to you too smiley - smiley

I had an interview for Glasgow university but didn't get a place smiley - wah I do like Scotland, and have always fancied moving their, It's just a question of when I'll get the guts to leave the midlands..

I tend to get on with nearly everyone, in fact I've not found one person I can't get along with if I have to! There are people that wind me up..

Glad you're working on the Skintness.. and nice to see you back on h2g2! Sorry you won't be around for the London Meet.

I'll have to think of joining scotish researchers and come up and meet you all. It's just a little bit futher in the other direction from New Street..

Well, keep an eye on the Scottish researchers page, and come on up when they next have a meet.

I think you know Jamie, Munchkin and Zantic already as we often go to the London meet (although Zan, Munchkin and I won't be making it this winter)

We should be able to put you up for the night when the time comes smiley - smiley
