I did not use the term " rude squares " ( close, but not quite).
It was not my intention to upset anyone but I do not see any useful purpose in employing invectives.

Gif can use them if he wants; but as Christians, I see the only proper response to be one of patience and politeness ( despite what he may use). I am not his advocate or buddy, be sure of that! I think he is a very insecure individual whose arguments sometimes encroach on the ad hominem. He is to be pitied -- not castigated. I only appeared to side with him as a means to show him that I am rtespectful and understanding of his position (though it be a miserable one).

Don't bow out of this string, my dear. If the lord gives you something to say, then for the sake of truth, say it. Nobody (even Gif) can refute the truth. He can only struggle against it. The Holy Spirit will see to that. Besides, what we say in truth only confirms it to the hearts of those who are not quite so hardened in their viewpoints. Who knows how many others may take a more serious look at their personal beliefs?

Tell me about yourself. I'd like a Christian pen-pal. I appreciate all you have said concerning the horrors suffered by your family in WW II. Please be assured that I am not your opponent. My aim is not to divide and conquer but to stand for truth -- even if it means disagreeing on minor issues with fellow-believers. If you know Jesus personally, then you are my spiritual sister (for now and for all eternity). See you there some day!!!
