I have the first Colleen McCulloch book; I think I've had it for at least a year, maybe 18 months, and I still haven't got round to reading it. Such is the story of my life, I'm afraid.

its quite good
unlike many writers she does her research and I haven't noticed any major errors or rewritings of history in her books
then again she thinks Julius Caesar was wonderful which I don't

Ah, 'I Claudius'... I saw the TV series in the 1970s, and again in the 1980s, and used to have both books, until I made the mistake of leaving them with my sister, who somehow managed to lose a whole carton of my books... smiley - wah

What a huge list of books to follow up! I have been trying to visualise the footwear everyone is wearing in the Falco book, so I have just done some googling. The 'boots' aren't very secure!
