Wouldn't be a reference to a certain Hairy little Mr Gordon Schumway would it? The Alien Life Form?
That famous 80's icon, it's him, it's the alfster.
Here, kitty, kitty!

Gimmie four!!!!!
You are indeed correct it is the alien himself.
I have used the handle for years starting really at university back in nineteen eighty *cough* when I needed a three letter handle for arcade highscore tabless so I chose ALF as I was a major ALF fan. It then just carried on from there.
I have been waiting for the series to come out on DVD for years and it did last year but in the syndicated vesions i.e. with at least 1 or 2 minutes cut from each episode rather than the original version for some reason. A real pain. Goes right against Alf's catchphrase of 'No problem' ratehr its is a 'Big problem'.
I am still pondering whether I should just buy it anyway as some ALF is better than none. The question is (I assume you are male!) mother or daughter?
Just read your PS message. Yes, Chris Evans is a untalented git. But having heard him on Desert Island Discs and Top Gear (and assuming he is not BS'ing) he does actually have a fairly down-to-earth attitude and kows how lucky he is to be where he is. I still can not stand any of his broadcasting output but if some people do fair play to the guy. And has he now not divorced the fulsome lipped Ms Piper?
Also, you have been around for 5 years and just noticed me? Obviously, I am not as notorious as I thought I might be.
*bugger bugger bugger* lets go p*ss off Della a bit more and get my status up a bit.

Obviously, the question is did you fancy the mother or the daughter?
I too have one of the Alf toys. My sister got one for my 21st birthday - we are a strange family.

ah, i see
i'll be honest, it's been that long since i've seen an episode i can't remember what either of them look like.
but having been a teenager when the show was on i'll wager i preferred the daughter.
