As far as the movie, given some liberties I actually enjoyed it. The jump from the Shire to the Pony was a little disturbing, Sauron was more funny than scary, Galadriel was frightening, and Arwen riding from the Nine was just in poor taste...I also found that Rivendell wasn't quite as dramatic as I expected. But, the casting was for the most part excellent! My favorite scene, the one between Gandalf and the Balrog, almost made up for everything else The scenery was amazing...better than I had imagined. Though I didn't like the plot twists and skips, I understand they had to b done. Jackson cut out a lot and still had a three hour movie...I could have sat through more, but the people I was with couldn't have. I have a feeling The Two Towers will be a much better movie...only about 7 months to go!!

Well said! Most of my complaints were the same, scary Galadriel, dumb Sauron, weird plot errors, but some of it was very good. My only other complaint was the elves. They just weren't elves! Ah well. It was fun. They could probably have deleted some of the action to put in some things like Tom Bombadil, but hey. Maybe in 10 years someone can remake them. I went by your page. Nice!
