Some unhelpful remarks from Iain

By way of introduction, I feel it appropriate to let you all know (for those of you who are interested) my whereabouts and how I have come to learn of this magnificent institution ... The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.

I am an earthling from the United Kingdom, Scotland to be more precise. Presently, I live somewhere in the vicinity of Glasgow.

The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy was first introduced to me thanks to the radio programmes of the BBC. I was fascinated by the travels and experiences of Ford Prefect and Zaphod Beeblebrox whilst associating myself with many of the attributes of Arthur Dent. I'm sure I am not alone in these similarities.

I sooned learned of the genious behind these books, Douglas Adams. Having heard and read all the Hitch Hikers works, I quickly moved on to Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency and the Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul amongst many of his other works of art.

I am proud and to say that I am a researcher for the latest edition of this guide and by some way associated with Douglas, Ford, Zaphod and many more of you guys all out there continuing Douglas' great work.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
