Me, Myself and I
Hi there! :-D Welcome to my personal space in the Guide. Wow. Like, I always knew I existed and had a place in the Galaxy (when the Galaxy has not been unwrapped and unceremoniously devoured, and therefore has its place in me... oh, you mean, this isn't all about chocolate? I wondered why it was run by Auntie Beeb and not Cadbury's...) Where was I before I sidetracked myself? Oh, yes, getting all sentimental about having my own personal space in the Guide.
Well, anyway, here I am, and in the course of time I am sure I will add some more...
Here, by the way, is an obscure little village in the SouthWest corner of Germany, not far from Switzerland (more chocolate 
!!) and France, with a view of the Black Forest, and within spitting distance of Freiburg, except, of course, you're not allowed to spit, here in the Guide...

Ummm, well, I'm British, sort of... born in the States, grew up in England, became officially British at the age of 20 (after being interviewed by a Sweeney officer who used to live next door to Barry Norman on one side, and a Welsh/Breton couple on the other, there's interesting for you - and I thought HE was interviewing ME...) I love the reaction on people's faces when I visit my brother in Texas, and they say "oh, ah just love y'alls english accent, where do y'all come from??" and I say, in my best Queen's English "well, actually, I was born in Fort Worth..."
I have been living in Germany for the past 11 years, for most of that time in the vicinity of Lake Constance (or the Bodensee, as it is called in German), which is in very south of Germany, and forms part of the border between Germany, Switzerland and Austria. I recently moved further west, to another tri-country border, this time Germany, Switzerland and France.
