News to me

I've just been watching a pice on Natural Geographic Channel about the evolutionary advatages of sex.

It was quite interesting, talking about variation and comparative breeding experments to A sexual fish. and then going on the famous darwin theory of sexual evolution and how the theory explains such things as pecocks tails and antlers ect,

then quite unexpectdly they went onto human sexual evolution and a theory by which explains our unnaturaly large brains, I'm still in favour of the aquatic ape, but it's quite interesting, it says that in the past because the females have selected the males, they must have chosen mates for there creative abilities in music, the arts and even comedy.

but they also say that the desire for strong males is still favourable in most females for obvouse reasons. they also speculate that as humans become more depentant upon creative abilities in order to get jobs and there for to care for offspring this factor may fade.

there may just be hope for me after all. smiley - winkeye

Alton Towers

I know this is a bit late but it's been waiting awhile on my HDD until I got tired of v*rking smiley - winkeye

A tale of a meet, a realy good meet-up infact, right. and tho it was lashed from on high by numbers things was very sucseesfull and enjoyable.

I got the train to Alton on this meet, once there there was pub with lots of drinks and jokes going round, including a mystery drink (did not partispat but looked good fun) got to meet some people for the first time. and generaly had a good time.

afterwards, I had to sort out a space for Clivethe flying somthing and that was about it I talked a bit I think, probly board people to death. smiley - laugh

Now the event, the saturday... rides, tickets, food and talking. much mcuh talking. infact we stayed about 2 hours outside the cafe. but rides were in the event of things. the black hole, enterprise and somthing to do with ug all made me feel as if my sides were in the middle and that the earth should stop bouncing up and down any minet now.

we had some food, I brought my towel, and still got asked why, should I need to anwser? and I used it to eat on the grass, Oh and when we went on the log flume and the rapids, very usefull.

after one of the rides, there was an arcade, I think it was the ug land rollercoaster. I think I made an impresion at this point, winning 100 odd tickets for the meet sheep [see photo] with one 20p. YaY

we wraped up this day with a barby que, with lovly candles and music. lots more talking and food. I ate until I was ready to burst I think.

the second day, was more of the same, I took a walk though the gardens, did Hex twice and stood in the vertual line que again. thats about it realy, I've been meaning to write this up for some time now...

I'm sure I've missed things out anyway.

Thanks, love

Fast, fast, easy go

I want to say what a buisy month it's been, not only with H2G2 but with some other things too. Although I got rid of BT at last, after so long, and managed to strike a deal with ntl, for now broadband will be fast enough for anyone. but it's a shame I havent had much time to use it.

I should maybe take a break some time, but funny thing is I don't want to, even though I know I'm buisy. I want to to stay buisy. lots of fun.

Now all I have to do is take thouse smilie out.. , put him in there... and make sure thats in by next Wibble.

Theving Idots!

On tueday the 30th of may, I way at one of the outlets for Asda, were I chekced my back ballence and got a cab home with the shopping.

Little did I know at the time that someone had nicked me wallet, and the following day used it at a QuickSave, I then reported it Stollen after finding out about this 'transaction' from my HSBC branch. of which not only did I lost my Debit card but my rail tickets, to go to down south for the Reading meet and NI Card, Damb!

I could get angry and start shouting the odds about how it isn't fair and why should this happen to me. but why bother. I'm now on the quest to fix the problem which I find much more constructive. I have my cards blocked and reported so I should get my money back.

heres hoping I get the £50 to go to the reading meet.

The Hunt for ISPs

It began as an equiry, to BT to find out how much there ISDN home highway would cost.

then after considering the costs and the situation, I agreed...

there began a search for an ISP flat rate with suport for BT-HH, I look every were, even with people on my disgust list like AOL and Freeserve, but to no avail because of there security they could not suport BT home highway. too bad. so I got quite stresed at the posabilty of having a pay as you go ISP, not for me it would seem.

after some time I have found a suitable ISP and the best part is that it's a charity, and realy not that bad - oh and it worked first time.

Oh well live and learn, never trust a sales-man, no matter how big and colourful. smiley - bigeyes
