h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I walked to Brick Lane in London last night, from the West End (Trafalgar Square or there abouts), the reason? I needed to meet up with a friend and we had arranged to meet up at Bank tube station. It's a bit annoying that he always expects me to come to him even though I don't use the tube, the buses, don't drive, don't have my bike in London since the trains started to get funny over bringing them on board. so my only option is to walk.

Anyway I was collecting some money owed for a website page I'd done for him. Then as I got to Bank station (asking a number of people on the way the direction naturally and 30 minuets later) he phones and tells me that hes been dragged out by his company to Brick Lane. OK so to brick lane. after 15 minuets I was in Brick Lane which is quite because he thought I'd taken a taxi (which says more about London taxis than my feet).

To be honest most things in central London are in walking distance, given enough time anyway; only a quick meeting though because he had to get back to his works meal but managed to get my money.

Myself I stopped off at a small curry house and had a nice chicken madras with some japaties. then got a drink at a corner shop, impressed the shop keeper by thanking him in Arabic (no he wasn't Bangladeshi). then I though how am I going to get from here to London Victoria which is quite a distance away by now. OK best option pay the damn £3 and get a single from Algate to Victoria problem solved.

Back at home, didn't manage to get much done. got a bit more Config.pm converted from it's config.py original but a horrible bracket problem is getting in the way now. I'll try and work on it some more tonight but I'll be going around to Martins for dinner and some computer support (ubuntu) I did make some apple pie... no well tell a lie I was going to make some apple pie but I almost burnt the apple sauce and by this point it was 23:00 and I couldn't be bothered to make the pastry. thus I have half a pie and not the best combination of half pies.
