Feisor - -0- Generix I made it back - sortof ...

I've seen a few of your Welcomes - you're doing a great job!! I hope that you won't mind if I make a slight suggestion from one ACE to another smiley - grovel

When you welcome a newbie it's always nice if you give them some links to start with - it sort of gives them somewhere to start smiley - biggrin

You might like to try some of these http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Welcome-Newcomers

or
The Post Links Page at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A616718

Also when you leave a welcome could you add 3 dots ... in the subject line - it's sort of ACE code to let us know that an ACE has been there smiley - biggrin

You might like to have a look at vegimans So you Want to be a good Ace page at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A573833
I found it a great help when I started smiley - biggrin

Hope that you don't mind these suggestions

Ok - thanks. I often forget to add this stuff when I'm in a hurry - I tend to have to squeeze ACEing into a few minutes before a lesson or something. I try to always include 'Read' and 'Talk', smileys and Researcher Preferences as required, but thanks for the tips - a nice suggestion is always welcome! Have some smiley - cake, Feisor! (It's special six-moths old celebratory cake).

Whoami? smiley - cake

PS. I meant that I'm six months old, not the smiley - cake...

Some people create template welcome message and then change it slightly to become more personal.
