A bit about me!
I've just become a researcher (grand title isn't it), and I am trying to think of things to write about myself!
Too start with I am a Lancastrian, brought up in Preston, of parents from Preston, but born in Yorkshire (Hull), .
I am almost half century old and coming up on the quarter century of marriage to the same woman (what has she had to put up with).
I am father to two children, who have both left home (it's very quiet now) and grandfather to a four (almost) year old boy - what joy he brings when he comes to visit - I hope that doesn't sound pretentious (is that the right word?).
I have recently started trying to trace my fanily tree, the only information I have pertains to my Grandfather and Great Grandfather, but this only takes me back as far as 1859 with any certainty, so any pointers would be appreciated!
