The Urban Spaceman
I suppose that the original Urban Spaceman was a carefree traveller, who I could once associate with. These days it takes a little more effort to be carefree. "Responsibilty" and "Carefree" don't mix well, but one has to be reasonable. A happy medium exists. Sort of like "Keep an open mind, but not one so open that your brain falls out." So the real trick for me these days is to hang on to that little bit of carefree urban spaceman that I have left, because you never know when a giant asteroid may slam into the earth, or when aliens might need to make way for a new hyperspace bypass. Sometimes you just need to delay reality for a little while if at all possible.
