Hello again. It's back to the original subject - Pixies.
I've just found a pretty extensive Pixies website that I didn't know existed. I don't know how far you've got with editing it but it may well contain additional info. on the band that should be included in the entry. If I've got time to check it out and add some minor details let me know.
Thanks for your kind words on my Police entry - the general response has been pretty good so I'm hopeful it'll be recommended soon.

I haven't really started yet - doing that today, hopefully.

If you place the additions in *a new article* and post a link, I'll add them in. I'll make sure to check back before I dela with your article.

To be completely honest I just don't have time at the moment to go through the site. When I do I'll just have to post the relevant bits to Update HQ and hope they do their bit.
Anyway - thanks for your work on the Pixies entry (as I see its listed as 'pending'). It was a pleasure doing business with you, and very productive (if not specifically on the Pixies front).

Sorry if this gets repeated but my machine just dumped me off:
To be completely honest I just haven't got the time at the moment to go trawling through the Pixies website. When I do I'll just have to notify Update HQ and let them do their bit.
As I see the entry is pending - thanks for your work on the Pixies article. I've glanced at it but haven't read it through (does that make me a 'good' researcher or a 'bad' one?). It was nice doing business with you, and very productive, although not necessarily in the context of the Pixes entry.

The entry was *so* well written I didn' actually change anything. My only uncertainties were best left to the Towers - formatting etc...
Your entries are a pleasure to see in a batch, you're a real . If you ever do a Uni Project and would like me to Sub, I'd gladly do it.
Lovely working with you on this entry and the Sub report - would you like to help with the Scout Report - we've got an allstar team including Bossel and Dancer!

By amazing fluke, you're 'The Police - The Band' entry is mine to Sub-Edit! Either a major coincidence, or Chris read what I said about your last entry when I returned it, and was in a kind mood. Yippee!!!

Ah, the hand of fate is at work again. Excellent. It's just a pity you have to read the entry again, as you did when it was in PR. Any queries, let me know. Actually I'm very pleased, given what I've seen of your editing work so far.
I'd certainly be up for working with such esteemed company on the Scounts entry (in fact, a couple of things have already occured to me) - just drop me a line when it's time.
I'm kind of curious about the Uni project thing - I've been thinking for a while it would be nice to do something a bit more formal, rather than just writing entries and submitting them when I feel like it. What would I have to do? Who should I contact about doing/taking part in a uni project?

Well, you can start a bit for the Scout report when you're ready - the Ace Report is all done and dusted for now. You might like to go to the reports home from your Personal Space, and click the link under 'Get Updated' to be kept up to speed. I might even start up a co-authors e-group, subscription by invitation, just ask me on [email protected] - mods read below, quoted verbatim from HRs.
Finally, on the subject of the Police entry, I never comment on details in PR as policy - I don't read the content so much as subby things like formatting, main headings to see what is covered, how well typed it is, etc. You don't fail an item on the checklist, generally. it's a real pleasure to be subbing your Entry, and I mean what I say...

Be careful with including email addresses, instant messaging numbers and the like in contributions, and please do not include anyone else's personal details. You may include your own personal email address or instant messaging number in Postings (providing it is acceptable, ie not vulgar or offensive), but please be aware that you are potentially opening yourself up to a lot of email, and possibly spam email too, and you should be absolutely sure that you want people to be able to contact you like this.

Howdy, Whoami?
First up, the Police entry - there's a couple of links I meant to put in but forgot about: one to the Reading Festival entry (A279213) and one to Top of the Pops (http://www.bbc.co.uk/totp - I think). I'll stick them in myself if you want and if you haven't copied the original text into a new entry yet.
Second up, the Scouts entry - at the moment it's a mixture of the Ace and the Sub-Ed reports and has nothing to do with Scouts - once this is fixed I'll have a go at writing some stuff.

Catwoman Posted Nov 11, 2001
Top of the Pops is mentioned in the 1st paragraph of the 'Dead End Job' section, Reading (Rock) Festival is mentioned in the 4th paragraph of 'Bring on the Night', and I also meant to put in a link to Highlander (A600463) in the 3rd paragraph of 'If You Love Somebody...'.
Sorry about the sloppiness - guess I should've checked the entry properly while it was in PR.
