Ah, youse still around, too...

Aye - on and off I'm now a home-owning bill-hating trombone-playing computer-fixing 9-5ing tax-paying overseas-student-hosting adult (I hesitate to use the term "grown-up" ) and though I'm still sucumbing to the occasional bout of you-know-what, things are mostly under control.
Except my shoulder, which is pretty busted at the moment. Hopefully the cortisone shot I'm getting on Thursday morning, and the physio I'm getting in the New Year will sort that out though.
How's things in Tube-land? Still following the Legal path? Is Naak still in the picture? So much to catch up on

Hi 'ere!
Same, same, then? So uni is out of the picture I take it? Hope all that w*rk is well-paid. I'm happy for you!
I ma is a physio and lemme tell you that they can do a world of good. Cortisone is a bit rough, though. Here in Germany it's rarely perscribed...
Tube-land is rather busy, working mostly 9-9 or 9-10 these days, Legal path, yup, just the way I wanted. More work than I imagined. Naak's still in the picture and we shall assimiliate last names in a couple of months
That's life in a nutshell...

Aye - there's no Uni for now. Maybe one day, but for now - although I'm not earning loads - it's more than quite a few graduates I know! I'm doing okay with my little offshoots with websites and private work on the side - which all helps too.
I've heard that physio is good (if you do as your told and keep up with the homework!) Cortisone is a bit of a last measure over here too - they like to do other things first. However - I had a whole load of gigs to play with the brass band, plus my overseas student to look after, so I couldn't wait for the physio referral to come through (it still hasn't!) I just needed to get it sorted through the Christmas season, then after that I'll do all the physio they give me!
Funnily enough - the only Doctor in my surgery who can administer the cortisone shots - is German! He's a nice enough guy, but very reluctant to prescribe *anything*. He was quite enthusiastic when I arrived for the stabby-stabby though (I got a referral from annother Doc for it). I wasn't so keen on the bit where he put it in, said "Whatever you do - don't move", then walked off to the other side of the room! It was sore as hell for about 48 hours - but since then it's been fantastic. It still aches a bit occasionally, but on the whole it feels as good as fixed for now.
I'm glad to see that the legal path is what you wanted. It's always good to be doing something you enjoy. I imagine that the long hours are hard, but it's all experience and I bet you'll be one of the top people in the land before long I'm also glad to hear that you and Naak are still together. You were so lovely together at the meet. I'm also really glad to hear about the "assimilation". I shall expect photos! I hope that you both have a wonderful life together.
I'd better sign of for now. Work to do and all! You take care (and your good lady too!) and talk soon
