...Or 'the asylum' as it is more colloquially known. smiley - weird

I know I can contact you outside of h2g2, but can I contact you inside h2g2? Or are you one of these people who never updates their page/ checks their messages on here. Rowan is being very quiet too. What's going on?smiley - grr

Anyway, come and visit me at some point. Leave a message and I might even give you some smiley - choc or a smiley - stiffdrink(of orange juice, naturally)This is chocolate and orange juice in the strictly virtual sense you understand, since I don't fancy mailing this from Sheffield. The footnote isn't going to happen on this, but the thought was there.

Madmaz.

Indeed I am here! smiley - smiley

I have not accessed H2G2 for a bit as I've been busy with the website. It's a bit faulty, but by later today (24/09/01) it should be possible to access the course information for all the courses Park College run! It took me 4 days - but hey, I was bored!

Ro is still here - I don't think he's been on much though as he's been getting ready for the big move. Talking of which, how was your own? Hope everything went okay and that you're settling in over there. How's the hall-mates? Hope you're reasonably free of trendies!

I gotta go now. Rowan's here. smiley - winkeye

Have fun!

Jedi in Training? Not something you want to tell too many people about, methinks. My hallmates are all lovely people. They are so thoughtful and considerate that they insist in sharing their taste in 'music' with me at 3am... They really are too kind. I'm inviting the trombone section from Sheffield Citadel round for a sectional rehersal at 7am next Sunday morning I think. Revenge smiley - devil is mine...

I've met some nice people and some not so nice. Still, I guess that's to be expected. Ken drove me up here but once he got here the little van thing he'd hired broke down. I think he had a horrendous time getting home. The move itself went fine for me, but I guess I'm used to moving anyway. A lot of the people here are extremely immature, but then some of them have come straight from school (where they have a school sixth form) so I think that makes a big difference.

I'd better goo now (yup, intentional). Have you seen how pretty my page is now?smiley - smiley

Just thought I'd put the kettle on for a smiley - coffee. I've really got to live up My Space a bit!

I've just gone to visit your space. Way neat! You've got to tell me how you did some of that sometime!!!

Sorry to hear about your hallmates "musical taste", but the trombone rehearsal sounds great! Wish I could be there for it but it might be a bit difficult getting there!

Rowan's just done the big move. He seems to be doing okay so far (touch wood), and is in the posh halls at Reading, (St. Patrick's Hall). You guys are so lucky. I've got to suffer Eastbourne and my parents for another 2 years (I'm being forced to take a gap year)!!!

I'm setting up my own website within the next week or so. I managed to bag [url removed by moderator] and it's going to redirect to my Mum's Freeserve webspace.

Gotta go take more photographs of the college now that the sun has come out! Swapping Maths and Physics for Photography was probably the best thing I've ever done (although my parents are not so sure!)

Catch you later!

Lifson

Congrats on bagging "url removed by moderator"- that's some feat. Will those spaces be appearing as underscores or what? smiley - smiley By the way, THEY *looks worriedly over shoulder- see http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A621352 * won't let you post external urls in conversations. smiley - grr What can I say? Join the Zaphodistas.smiley - pirate- it's my temporary revolutionary smiley.

Hmmmm...join the Zaphodistas. That's an idea!smiley - pirate Increase Mathers can slot me into the list in my apropriate spot! I'll zap you my web address, but I think it's still on my Space! THEY can be a pain (saw posting).

So how's it going up there? Rowan says that one of the tutors at his place says there is a Stoned Circle or something, and if you stand in the middle of it has the same effect as LSD. smiley - bigeyes I have my doubts, but there's a bunch of them looking for it. Apparently it's on campus!

Stuff here is not bad. Got reasonable reviews the other day. Steve Hobbs is smiley - smiley - he likes my debating skills. In reality the only debating skills I have are being so weird that I can use myself as my own examples. Great fun!

Anyhow - must dash. My parents will be home soon, and I've got to get all this computer junk back home before they find out I've got it! (my Mum made me throw out a Commodore 16 once about 5 years ago and I've never fully recovered.)

Stoned circle? Sounds like fun. I thought it was one of their societies or something at first... It's cold up here. I say this because I'm sitting in a freezing computer room and can no longer feel my fingers. This is a bad thing. Steve Hobbs is smiley - sadface because he uses far too many long words and um, smiley - yawn if you get my drift. My sister has him AND Godfrey smiley - yawnsmiley - yawn for English. How unlucky can you get?smiley - biggrin

Steve's okay, because I understand most of his long words ( smiley - geek), I get on with him probably better than most. Godfrey's also okay when you get on to the wacky coursework type stuff! He's a bit dry when it comes to his teaching and his voice - but to give him credit he does have some original teaching ideas. As long as you take everything a bit seriously it can get quite fun! In Steve's *and* Jane's classes we are having lots of debates at the moment - so it's a smiley - laugh!!!

I keep trying to get my Mum to let me go up to Reading during the holiday at some point(this is not entirely connected to the circle! smiley - winkeye), but she's firmly saying no.

Unfortunatly - the limits of my teenage rebellion are rather limited, as anything further results in being allowed out even less than I am already, and ending up unable to see or hear due to playing DOOM for so long and playing really loud music through earphones in all the new spare time it gets me!!! The best thing I have come up with to annoy my parents is taking up the trumpet. I paid for it all myself, I'm teaching myself because they won't buy me lessons, so although I can play the thing, my tone is awful! The rebellious bit is insisting on practicing - all the time!!! smiley - devil

You'll soon get used to the cold - or buy a pair of cycling gloves which will keep your hands and bottoms of your fingers a bit warmer, but you can still type with them!!! That's what I do in winter. My Dad insists on me having my window open when he stays with us over Christmas "to let the room ventilate". Notice they never do in their nice warm room! A couple of winter's ago a thin sheet of ice appeared on a glass of water I had on the windowsill overnight! Also, investing in a hot-water bottle is not a bad idea!

Better nip off now. Tutor time. I'd skip it but my new tutor is hell over Unauthorised Absence!

I understood Steve's long words too, but only because I think words like 'crapulent' are fun. Note to moderators- this is a word and it means someone who drinks too much alcohol so don't moderate it just because it contains the word c**p, OK? Anyway, better goo now smiley - biggrinsmiley - ok see ya at Christmas if not before. Oh, yes. Carolling. Oh joy. Oh cold, cold joy.smiley - sadface Why don't they have a smiley?smiley - sheep
