Ok...went to casino 3 times this week.

Walked out with = £180
Visit = 2
Walked in with = £180
Walked out with = £215
Visit = 3

Not a bad week.
The third visit I was as much as £40 up and £80 down at various points. It's a miracle I came out unscathed!

Okay.
It's 2am and I ahve to be up at 7:30am as I have an exam at 9am.
This exam poses two problems -
1. I don't know any of the course
and
2. This module is 100% exam.
While you may sit there and say I should've worked harder, I can tell you I did, only I've never done matrices before so the idea of applying algebre to them kinda scares me! Now I'm praying for a miracle, such as the papers turning into a big blue whale which tells the examiner to give me full marks. Hey, it could happen. Couldn't it?
NEway, till tommorow,
Take it easy

EXAM 1

MATHS AND SOCIETY
This exam was hard. This is bad since it's supposed to be one of my easiest. I'm feeling really sorry for one of my flatmates. He's got his first exam at 9.00am tommorow. Exams on a Saturday? What has happened to the world?
The exams are all intense maths so I ain't gonna talk about them but there was one interesting thing in the exam today I would like to talk about. There was the regular type of 1second=1second type of the clock as a reference in the exam today, but there was also a 1second=30seconds clock. The thing was a nightmare. I kept looking up and getting transfixed on this clock going thirty times too fast. It was weird! I want one.
NEway, I've decided not to gamble during the exam week so my £200 is safe for now, but then I've got a day trip to the international casino in Nottingham as my after exam treat, so I better start saving.
Till next time - take it easy!!

Gambling
Posted May 17, 2001
Gambling is one of lifes great myths.
I am a compulsive gambler. I've played texas'hold'em poker now for about 6 years and I've got pretty good at it (not to blow my own trumpet). Over the years I've worked really hard at just getting god. Unfortunately, since coming to uni I've had no money and had to start playing for very little money. This has led to some really bad habits beginning to creep into my play. The only regular thing in this journal will be an up to date record of my gambling for the week. I can't always promise it'll be good news. I'm giving myself a £200 pound starting budget and I want to try and see if I can still have £200 in a years time.
My other big game is Roulette. In the last three years I have come up with over thirty different systems for winning at Roulette. I have proved that they all don't work by using pretty simple A-Level standard statistics (hey, I'm a maths student) and I'm currently working on a final proof to show that the game cannot be beaten.
Anyway, till next time
Games played so far = 0
Current Balance = £200
