... and welcome to h2g2 - at last.
I know this is all rather belated but I'm one of the <./>ACEs</.> (Assistant Community Editors) who volunteered to help show people around the site. I've been checking back into the h2g2 archives for researchers who might otherwise think they had been ignored. I suspect you don't need any help but, since you've only recently activated your personal space to allow people to leave you messages, I thought I'd drop by just in case.
If you have a question, click on the reply link below and I'll be back. Otherwise, feel free to ignore this message.

I know I've been with the h2g2 site for some time now and one of the other researchers suggested I do some sort of profile but I'm not sure what sort of format it should take.Any siggestions would be welcome. There may be some delay in any response, though,as I don't have a computer at home but use the internet facilities at the local library.

Well it's not a good idea to give out too many personal details, eg your full real or email address, unless you are prepared for the possible consequences (and those under 16 aren't permitted to do that at all). You are allowed to put up links to external sites, eg those you think other people might like to see. Writing something about your work/hobbies will let visitors see if they have any common ground to discuss. It certainly helps an ACE find interesting links on h2g2 which you might like to try.
