Howdy,
Can you give some more info about the circumstantial evidence of Zagreb using a second identity to agree with himself on the Iraq thread?

I may have been a bit quick off the mark, and I deliberated about hitting 'post', but during a side issue debate about racism a few days ago, this character http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/U199068 popped up out of nowhere and took up Zagreb's argument in the most offensive manner possible. After following his name back to his space I find that 'Nizzy' has only subscribed to three conversations since signing up on sept 14th last year. Surprise surpise, two of them were started by Zagreb, and the third is also subscribed to by Zagreb - 'Nizzy' posts within a few posts of Zagreb's post when things got quiet.
Like I say, circumstantial, but very, very convenient. Oh, and 'Nizzy' is from Scotland too.

Hmmm. Could be a cousin or a co-worker of Zagreb's = someone who has a reason to look up Zagreb's posts, or maybe just a coincidence.

Yup, could be. But Zagreb's never even so much as nodded a greeting to him. Bit odd, really. Probably a coincidence, but fishy none the less. In particular, during the 'racism' exchange I noticed the tone of Zagreb's postings changed to being almost conciliatory (not to me, of course).
I don't know. It's all a bit neat. But coincidences happen. I'd like you to consider it a bit further though, as it's been bigging me for a while.

Also I can imagine a situation where I might tell someone about this great website I visit, and tell them what my login name is, how they should check it out. Then later the person creates an account on h2g2 and can't find anything interesting on the site, but participates in a few of my discussions. If the follower doesn't tell me about it, I might have no way of knowing from the content of the posts.
It's a little strange, but seems circumstantial. Have you thought about asking Zagreb directly to see his/her reaction?

Or of course it could be Zagreb's multiple personalities getting in the way...

I personally know Zagreb, and know that Nizzy is a completely seperate person. I've met him. At least, I hope they were two different people, otherwise that round I bought was far too expensive. Hmm...

...and a possible explanation is that Zagreb has sent the link to the forum to Nizzy (as he sometimes does to me when he finds an interesting conversation) which explains why Nizzy posted when he did.
Key: Complain about this post
