Baaaad League of Gentlemen fanfiction
Posted Jun 5, 2001
The other day I became bored of revision (shock, shock, horror, horror), and decided to write something creative!
Unfortunately, the only thing I was inspired to create was some LoG fanfic. Now, I know there's a lot of it out there on the net, and much of it very good, but I'm not sure whether the Guide is really the place to flaunt my (lack of) talent in this department.
Any suggestions? Even if it's just *sod off*? I'd be grateful.

Have you ever been obsessed with something?

I realised some time ago that I have a slight tendency to obsess over films, television programmes, groups of comedians called The League of Gentlemen...
...and I wondered whether anyone else has noticed the same thing about themselves.
So far, my main bouts of fanaticism came about over Red Dwarf, the League of Gentlemen, old supernatural horror films, and to a lesser extent, Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Come on, the Dick Van Dyke accent does so much for an overly-blonde Californian...
Anyone else out there with the same tendency to think about only one thing for months on end? (Nymphomaniacs need not apply)

Dear Diary...

Oh, it's terrible. My first night on H2G2, and I can't even work out how to put breaks in paragraphs when using GuideML. I shall doubtless be mocked terribly, scorned, shunned and my article reduced to no more than two words - Bourbon biscuits - because they're the only interesting thing in there.
Never mind. I shall learn in time. As Frankenstein, I am forced to work with an abnormal brain. And look what happened to him - end of the film, half dead and with nothing to look forward to but a marriage to his waif of a wife. But then the sequel...as Colin Clive and Boris Karloff, I too shall return!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
