Hi Arpeggio

This has been a fun week hasn't it? Have you enjoyed your time on h2g2 so far? It's difficult to ascertain from here. You've made it very clear that you've been upset by the views of a lot of the h2g2 Researchers, including some of the Aces, who you've unkindly taken to referring to as Ace****s. On a daily basis you're involved in some kind of conflict here, and you've certainly managed to upset an awful lot of people here in a very short time.

This is something that you posted onto h2g2 yesterday:

"I've *taught* anger management. Also conflict resolution, also just about every other subject in the area of psychology. I *said*, in this self-same thread, which is not very long yet, we used to be a therapist."

Now assuming that you're telling the truth - and I have no reason to assume that you're not - one has to wonder if you're deliberately seeking conflict. Someone trained in conflict resolution would very easily be able to defuse a situation, but you're not making any attempt to do that at all. smiley - sadface Instead, it seems that you're provoking the situation at every opportunity. Is this intentional?

You also say:

"I have self-control. I am only exactly as rude as I want/need to be."

Great! You have self control; that's good to hear. I'd like you to start using these skills to show us just how *well* you can take part in an online community. That means getting on with people and being understanding and tolerant of the views of others, even if you disagree.

If you don't start to participate in the community in a positive way, I can only assume that you're deliberately provoking others for your own amusement. h2g2 is generally a very harmonious place, and the fact that arguments are kicking off in practically every Conversation in which you are involved is not a coincidence.

I very, very rarely close the accounts of Researchers. But if you cannot, or will not, participate in the h2g2 Community in a sociable way, I will terminate your account as per the House Rules. This is your final warning, Arpeggio. We're building the Guide. We're enjoying participating in the Community. You're welcome to join us, but you have to stop being the centre of every argument and conflict on the site.

You're the psychologist, you work out how to do it. You're breaking the rules of this site, it doesn't appear that you're intending to stop breaking the rules, and if you continue to break them, I will close your account down. So it's up to you to prove that you can contribute in a positive way.

Peta:

Received, read, and understood. If there is any further trouble centred around me, instigated by me or anyone to whom I cannot react appropriately, please do not hesitate to close my account.

I have asked you, a few times, for feedback regarding mixed signals. I would still be grateful for any clarifications you can take the time to make on that subject.

Thanks Arpeggio

The best, and nicest way, to get clarification is to stay around h2g2. I really don't want to get into discussing 'rules', because they aren't the core of h2g2.

Instead of thinking about rules, think social etiquette. h2g2 has a lovely friendly vibe, and we very much want it to stay that way. You seem to be enjoying 'testing the waters' now, stay and enjoy participating. You'll just *know* when you're doing the right thing.

Lovely friendly vibe? Know when you're doing the right thing? Not true, from my own perspective. I don't have a clue any more what in hell's name is happening here.
