Buying a house
Beatrice Started conversation Feb 6, 2006
Here are some things I discovered about my house (moved in last September) that I couldn't possibly have found out from any number of visits or surveys.
1. Slugs invade the back yard every evening.
2. The manic street cleaners drive past every morning at about 6.30 am, brushes swooshing, yellow lights a-flashing. Even on a Sunday.
3. The lack of extractor fan in the bathroom (and my laziness in not getting one fitted straight away) has resulted in the paint peeling off the walls, so now I have yet another room to repaint.
Having said all that, none of those make me regret the purchase
best of luck
