A little late...
I am a huge fan of Douglas', since 1989. I was introduced to the guide by a friend, whose favourite pass-times were drinking tea and having baths. As you may have guessed, he was a fan of the hitchhiker also.
I bought the edition in genuine bonded leather (some years ago), which has become something like my bible. I go around quoting passages to strags, who look at me utterly bewildered, and I love it ;)
I would like to contribute to Douglas' legacy. I am very touched and grieved by the thought, that he has left us on this little, mostly harmless planet.
But he will live on in our hearts.
Farewell, Douglas, and may you have a lot of teas and baths over there and smile down upon us all!
