..but somehow or the other my PS has become inextorably linked with Astro Lion(Mane Man) and I've I'm just letting you know where the message you sent to him this afternoon ended up...if you see what I mean
I've checked his and your PS's, and the message appears on both spaces, but whether Astro Lion can "see" his message is something I'm not sure of - hence this message to you, so if needs be, you could try again.
I've reported the gliche to the "Bugs" bit of H2, and I'm sure they'll sort it out; this is just a sort of Belt and Braces type note
Call over if you'd like to, I know nut'ing, as Manuel the waiter would say but I don't let that get in the way of a good natter

Traveller in Time also intruding
"Just press < <./>FSB81838?cmd=unsubscribeforum&page=normal&desc=Return+to+the+Conversation&return=T1949797</.> >
Somewhere along the way you managed to get informed of new conversations for < U188047 > 'AstroLion – the mane man!'.
And before someone gets paranoid, I figured this out by trying to follow what was asked on < F48000?thread=1949528 > 'h2g2 Feedback - Bug Reports'. "

Cheers Mr Traveller
Soon as I've done this I'll press the link you gave
Don't worry about the paranoia bit as regards me - I don't need to be paranoid, I *know* they're out to get me.
But not you...since you gave me the link!
Thanks for your help.

"whether Astro Lion can "see" his message is something I'm not sure of"
He can, if he looks. The message was posted correctly, to his personal space. You saw it on your space because (somehow) you have asked to be notified about new postings to his space. It wasn't posted to your space, it simply appears in your conversation list (although it's easy to confuse them). So there's no need to worry that anything has gone wrong.

"Hmm, this is just a precaution, no new messages directed to .. will appear on your most recent postings list.
Existing 'informed of' threads have their own buttons.
'MaggyW', about personal spaces, it is highly confusing to have links to other peoples spaces. Searching my own MA . .. "

I didn't even realise I HAD clicked on to be notified of AstroLions messages - but I must have done, unintentionally, when I first joined the site. I feel quite embarrassed about that!
I didn't actually realise I could do that for PS's until Jim mentioned it above - I thought it was just for conversations on the Forum, etc, I'm interested in following.
I've learned something new - thanks!
But I don't think I'll utilise it, somehow. A PS is just that, far as I'm concerned; a Personal Space. If any friends of mine want to refer me to a convo they're having on their PS I just assume they'd mention it to me and invite me in!

What link to other people's personal spaces? I just posted a message to him.
How would I make a link to AstroLion's personal space anyway? Is this another glitch from 360?
Excuse me for intruding...
Moving On Posted Jan 14, 2006
Not sure what "360" is MaggyW, so I can't comment on glitches; I amn't a technical bod, I'm more the Alternitive Health and art generally sort of a person.
The link I was referring to is something thats at the bottom of each H2 Member's Personal Space ("PS") I use the white page ("Alabaster?") and there are a list of options.... one of which is a link to click onto "to be notified of any conversations posted to this thread"
I was virtually computor illiterate when I first joined, so the only reasen I can think of, is that I must have clicked on my mouse and inadvertantly clicked to be notified of anything that came up on AstroLion's site, whilst I was browsing around the site generally.... it certainly wasn't intentional, I assure you!
I'm sure Traveller or Jim, or possibly one of H2s's Aces (official welcomers and general Helpers Out) will be able to tell you how to make a link...
I find the best way to keep in touch with people is to put them on "my friends" list...again, if you hunt around the Personal Spaces of the person who want to be "friends" with, you can find a link to click on, and it seems to get done automatically, for you.
Depends on what colour page you use, I think; personally, I find the Alabaster one, the eaiest for me to use, but it's all down to personal taste and ability, I reckon.

"The last line of your PS

What I also tried to point out in 'Talking Point - Food for Comfort'
I made some examples the other day
< A3458810 > or < test3458810 >
< A8486535 >, hmm that one is more usefull
For more close contact you could just add him to your friends list
Any Journal he writes will appear on your MP list. A normal use is also to be informed of your friends message center, as he seems to be quite absent from the site. Last posted: 'Feb 24, 2003' "

He's expected back on site in the next few days!
Still don't understand I'm afraid. I checked out those links but it will take a while before I'm anyway back to being computer literate.
Anyway, very happy to be linked to him. Should be really, considering he's my husband...

Traveller in Time confused
"You have links on your 'Personal Space' taking you to your husbands Space ?
So you are married with:
< U188047 > 'AstroLion – the mane man!'
As what I presumed from the conversations.
And with:
< U191190 > 'Environmental Society (vogonpoet in Kirk-like role, DoctorGonezo AWOL? Gnashers polishing his head)' who is also
< U174321 > 'vogonpoet'
As the first is linked to on your personal Space "
Excuse me for intruding...
MaggyW Posted Jan 18, 2006
No, not married to all three of them
If I remember correctly they were all primary volunteers on 360 (which I ran) so were probably linked then. Gnashers is around somewhere and promised to be back soon..but VogonPoet disappeared a few years back in a flash of smoke over some alleged high-handed stuff from one of the HooToo staff (not the ones still here).
Well, I'm not worried. As long as they don't all turn up for conjugal rights!
