Me, Myself, & I
Many people (okay one person) wanted to know what my nickname meant, so without further ado...
"RATUS, RATUS" is an onomatopoeia for the sound of a revving 2-stroke, 250cc off-road motorbike. The origin of the nickname dates to my early childhood when my father and I used to race his Honda over the Mojave Desert in California. I would sit in front of him and yell "ratus, ratus" whenever I wanted to go faster. To this day, my father usually refers to me as Ratus, or the less flattering abbreviation of "Rat".
