Don't get me started on the Norwegian translation1 But you have, so now you're in it, buster!
You know there are whole societies in Norway against those translations! You see, the whole serie (exept Mostly Harmless) first came out in Norwegian in 1998, translated by Arne Berggren and Sverre Knudsen (These are the bad guys!) and many of us thought they did such a lousy job so the books should never have been translated!
For instance, (I don't know if you have read the serie) in The Restaurant in the End of the Universe, there is a section about never throwing the letter Q in a bush, of some reason, they trasnlated it about the letter C! (It's a small thing, I know, but irritating!)
And actually, I don't think it's just that translation that we are against, but translating in the first place. Those books just are better in English. For instance, the "What's unpleasant about being drunk? - Ask a glass of water" makes no sense in Norwegian. The clever words just can't be done. and not to mention the names!
Look what you have done!

Well, as you may know, there is a group here on h2g2 who are Keepers of different stuff (everything from ballpoints to pizza) and I thought 'Hey, sounds like fun!' so I begged to be the Keeper of Newly Discovered Words, and boom! before you can say Bugblatter Beast of Traal, I'm the Keeper no 200!
So know I'm hosting a party on my personal space. Come if you please - no invitasion needed!
