Purgatory

At present what I am thinking about is an encounter between Pelagius (of Augustinian fame) St. Jerome, St. Nicholas of Tolentine all of this refereed by Pope John the 23rd. In my purgatory, the sentencing rules are as follows: you stay in purgatory until any of the hurt/harm you done is gone from the earth.
Pelagius has a challenge in light of this because he's the great-grandfather of the self-help movement what with his convictions about achieving moral excellence, etc. St. Jerome weighed in against Pelagius in the controversies of the 5th century so they have things to say to each other. Nicholas of Tolentine is a sort of overheated mystic from the 13th century but maybe I'm being too hard on him--it
is difficult to find any truly descriptive material about him. He is
the patron saint of the souls in purgatory as well as the patron saint
of mariners;
