Dreams

I'm thinking about using this space as an online dream journal. I like to analyze and interpret dreams. I like to hear about other peoples' dreams and see how they apply to the current issues in their lives. So, I'm going to start posting my dreams here. Not that it matters, no one reads this anyway.

April 14, 2001 - Intro & Purpose

Easter is almost here and that means that things will start to settle down around T.C.'s household. Well, at least until next weekend when I take my National Counselor's Exam.

I'm looking forward to celebrating Easter with my family and a few friends. We've invited over our son's Godparents and a college student friend of ours who has no where to go for Easter. It's going to be quite a bit of fun, grilling portabella mushrooms and eating outside.

In terms of life in general, life is pretty good. When you get down to the nitty-gritty details of life . . . well, as a friend that I just bumped into at the grocery store put it, "T.C., you look dazed." I guess I am. It has been a long semester, it has been a long time for me in college. I look forward to summer, I look forward to having more time and to having deeper thoughts in my journal.

I've been thinking about what to do with this journal. It's a very cool idea. But it has been bugging to for the past week to think of what types of things I want to put in here. I have tried off and on to keep a personal journal. You know, the kind of bound journals that you buy in bookstores that have blank, lined pages. I now have three of them and none of them are full. I'm just not a disciplined, daily journaler. I journal when things come to mind, when I have time, when I need to process something and the best way for me to do that is to write it down. I've decided to try a new idea. I have a pocket PC and a Stowaway(TM) keyboard to accompany it. I can take them with me wherever I go. I can whip them out and type my thoughts whenever I need to. I can keep my journals on there and sync them with my computer, then just copy & paste them to the Guide. The advantages of this setup are that I can type faster than I write, I can deliver to you journal entries that are clean, edited and easy to read (as opposed to illegibly scribbled with crossed out words, sentences or even entire paragraphs). I will also be keeping a personal journal, and some of those entries (or excerpts) will find their way into this journal.

Also, I don't mind having an interactive journal. If you have a question about me, the things I like to do (music, computing, counseling, parenting), send it in by commenting on the journal entries. I'll answer whatever (within reason, that is), I may even post questions for you to answer.

With that in mind, here is my first question. One of the things that has been nagging at me (aside from the question of what to do with my journal) is whether or not to post my e-mail/web address. The Guide recommends NOT posting these bits of information, or to get a free webmail address somewhere where you don't mind receiving junk e-mail. Have you posted your e-mail address? If it was your personal e-mail, did you find yourself getting a lot of junk mail? If it was a free webmail that you got for the purpose of publishing on h2g2, where did you get your e-mail?
