Q. 9. What does Lal mean? Beloved. It's Hindu, I believe.
A correction for Q.19, How many times has Kirk been married? Once. He married the Indian squaw when he lost his memory.
I have to post this as I am due to be kicked off, but I will be back with more answers.
{This is fun!}

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Apr 25, 2001
Q 31 is Captain Morgan was the Captain of the Bozeman.
My previous posting should have read "the correct answer {I think} to Q 21 is Kirk has been married once.
If you don't click the correct posting to reply to, you can't read the question again, sorry.
Still checking other answers....
The Dax one is a good one.
Question 8: Which ship's crew discovered Data? The Starship Tripoli.
The question who has been replaced by their counterparts: Q 29:
{I have also included those "taken over" by aliens...}
Dr.Bashir.
Chief Miles O'Brien.
Keiko {was taken over by an alien}
Deanne Troi {ditto}
Data {ditto - twice I believe}
James T.Kirk.
Spock.
Sulu.
Beverley Crusher.
Ben Sisko.
Jennifer Sisko.
Kira Nerys.
Will Riker.
Lt. Worf.
Data {Lore *pretended* to be him}
I may add more to this list....
Q 26 Sarek's father was called Skon.
Q 33 Colonel Worf.
Star Trek
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Apr 25, 2001
Q 1: Riker was 15 years old when his father abandoned him.
Q 2: Pulaski has 3 ex-husbands.
Q 4: Kirk's nephew is called Peter.
Q16: I have to disagree with Dax, "Gul" is the Cardassian equivalent to "Captain". I can't remember the Cardassian equivalent to Commender though
Q21: James Kirk was married once, to Miramanee.
Q22: In what year was the Enterprise B's launch? That was the year of Kirk's death, I believe. Now then, the bottle of champagne which crashed against the side of the ship was dated "2265", but we don't know how old the champagne was, when it was used to christen the Enterprise B. Scotty retired in 2295, which was after Kirk's death, but Scotty did not seem to be aware of Kirk's death when he was rescued from the transported beam after 70 years.
So I don't know.

I have some more Questions to add to my list (the Dax one is tricky as I said)
2: What is the name of Benjamin Siskos mother? (in her human form)
3: What was Ezri´s last name before she was joined?
4: How many children does Tuvok have?
5: Where does Naomi Wildmans father live?
6: What is the name of Neelix´s favorite sister?
That´s it for now, I´ll add more once I can think of some... Happy quizing

Thanks for the interest. First of all, how did all of those people get replaced? I meant on a permanent basis, so all one-episode alien investations and the mirror universe aside, I can only count three;
O'Brian was replaced by his counterpart from two hours in the future.
Kim and Naomi Wildman died in our universe, so their counterparts from the duplicate voyager came to this universe.
As for the new questions:
Ezri's original lst name is Tagan.
Neelix's favorite sister is Palaxia.
Tuvok has four children and at least one grandchild.
I'm glad everyone remembered Kirk's marriage. I thought all of you would say "never"
Lets' keep it going? Remember if you're stumped you have to tell me.

Infinite Improbability Posted Apr 25, 2001
The Kirk-stumps-computer tally:
1. Vaal. You know, teh big stone dragon-thing.
2. Landruu. I think it was the Archon one.
3. The M-5, Richard Daystrom's pride and joy.
4. The Korby android.
5. Nomad, the sycopathic probe.
6. The Jack teh Ripper entity when he was in the Enterprise computer.
7. The computer on the asteriod-ship? "For the world is hollow and I've touched the sky"
8. The Eminar war computer (OK, Kirk shot it, but destroyed is destroyed)
Any more you can think of?

I just noticed the Dax Host question. I don't know them in chronological order, but let's at least see if I know their names:
Audrid. President of the Symbiosis Commission.
Curzun. Klingon-at-heart, Risa addict, diplomat.
Tobin. Died in a shuttle accident.
Jadzia and Ezri. duh.
Emony. Lover of McCoy.
I thought I knew more than that off the top of my head.
Star Trek
Infinite Improbability Posted Apr 26, 2001
I had seven of the ten.
Leela?
Jarod?
Are tehy hosts, too?
Star Trek
Dax Posted Apr 27, 2001
Okay, I take it you give up (although you did get some of them).
The Dax hosts in chronological order:
Lela
Tobin
Emony
Audrid
Torias
Joran
Curzon
Jadzia
Verad (stole the Dax host for a shot time)
Jadzia (again)
Ezri
There was also a Yedrin Dax in the episode "Children of time"
These are all the Dax hosts in the right order... I should know Dax...
Star Trek
Infinite Improbability Posted Apr 27, 2001
I don't think Terad really counts, but I'm banging my head because I forgot Audrid. Now that we've settled the Dax Question, I really would like to know how many original series episodes have Kirk talking a computer to death.

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Apr 27, 2001
Awwwwww!!!!
I just came here to post *all* the Dax hosts!!!!
I've been researching that question for two days!
I thought it was a trick question, as there was the host who stole it from Jadzia, and there was also one who had Dax for 6 months but then the memories were erased.
The one who never existed except in their memories, Yedrin, I did remember.
"Children of Time" is one of my all time favourite episodes.
What marvellous acting that episode brought out.
The uncomfortableness of Miles O'Brien, the confident future Odo, the wise and wily Yedrin, plotting so that they could all live on...
even Worf, amazed at his legacy; Quark the schoolteacher,
The devastation at the end when realization dawns, and the shock when Kira finds out who altered course...
Marvellous stuff!

Dax Posted Apr 27, 2001
Sorry to ruin it for you GB... Here, have a glass of on me...
Yes, Children of Time was a really good episode, one of my fav episodes also...
Joran (who had Dax for six months) is actually acknowledged as a host.
A little known fact is that Torias (before Joran and Curzon) only was joined to the Dax host for 7 months before he was in the shuttle crash that killed him...
GB, you should check out the book "The Lives of Dax"
Really interesting stuff... (for me anyway )
Star Trek
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Apr 27, 2001
Oh, I would love to read that.
Who wrote it, please?
Are you looking forward to your Sainting tomorrow?
II, I really can't think of any more instances that Kirk blew up the computer. Sorry.
I've been here a good part of the day & I *still* haven't got past my second page of postings
I really should pull my finger out....
Star Trek
Dax Posted Apr 27, 2001
Several writers in fact...
The book is just called "Star Trek The Lives of Dax" and on the book it says Edited by Marco Palmieri.
That should be enough, really great book...
Star Trek
Dax Posted Apr 27, 2001
You should really read this book, it is soooo good.
In fact, it is the only Star Trek book I have read more than one time... (I´m coming up on 3 times now, and it loses nothing with time )

Dax Posted Apr 27, 2001

I've also read the lives of dax. Great book. What is this I hear about a sainting? THe children of time was a good episode, too. I give up on the computer deathcount, so why don't we compare our favorite Q quotes?

i suppose you're worried about your fish, too?
I really must speak to the maid.
