Nifty Free Game!
Posted Nov 22, 2003
There's a really nifty adventure/puzzle game anyone can download for free at http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?category=6&page=1 .
It's called "5 Days a Stranger" by Yahtzee, it's in 320x200 at 16-bit color and is rated 8.8 / 10. The game itself, which downloads quick and runs flawlessly, resembles the first Monkey Island game in look and stlye. You assist the gentleman cat burglar Trilby as he tries to loot an abandoned mansion in the English countryside. All does not go as planned and soon Trilby discovers he is trapped in the house with four other people all trying desperately to escape.
With that group of strangers, he finds himself imprisoned by some invisible intelligence; a force prepared to do anything to keep them there. It's a real good time, as I sat up all night playing. The puzzles are farely easy, and if you get stuck, there are a number of online walkthroughs. Remember, the paintings have eyes!

I'm working on a song about the food science building here at Cook. Any suggestions on verse subjects?
Food Science
March and Two Step
Food Science! Food Science!
It's the Science of food!
Why is this orange orange?
Why is this green bean green?
Do you think it would be better if we spliced it with a gene?
Food Science! Food Science!
It's the Science of food!
Can we make it stronger,
And produce when it's younger?
Put and to all world hunger when the fresh food lasts much longer!
Food Science! Food Science!
It's the science of food!

That is the largest and smelliest flower in the world after the Raflessa. The odor, released in the few hours the plant is in bloom, are said to resemble a rotting elephant carcas. Enjoy!
