Hello. smiley - magic Strictly business and all that... smiley - redwine Your entry on william hershel is here: A12511847

Let me know if I messed anything up.

also, a few questions:
when you discuss his big telescopes, I changed the final sentenc to this:
>>Yet most of his nebulae were discovered with smaller telescopes<<
did I get the correct gist?

and the church window: it was named for him? what did it look like? anything... heavenly?

smiley - ok

One of the last things I did before this article was picked was to insert a hyperlink to the church window. If you click on those words you will get a webpage with the title Herschel Window and on the right side of the page is a thumbnail view of the window. click on that and you get to see a larger view of it.
point two. The William Herscel Museum in Bath has a website which states (I'm paraphrasing): he found Uranus with a seven foot scope which was followed by scopes 10, 20, and 40 ft.
The 40 footer was unwieldy and never lived up to expectations.
I think I remember reading somewhere that the twenty foot scope was the one mailnly used in later years( though not exclusively so).

OK, really and totally done. I added two subheaders. If you don't object, I hit the button and it gets in line for the FP. If you do, I take 'em out and *then* hit the button.

Leave em in I guess, although they are a bit terse.
I probably would have made them
"An Astronomical Start"
and "Discovering Infrared"
