Hallo Tabitca

Thank you for taking the time to follow me up from Tefkat's page. Seems like we're all de-junking and moving about.

No, smiley - doctor was not very helpful, just says he will monitor my BP every month for the next 6 months, but no medication or words of advice. Practice smiley - nurse very nice, but passing the buck to smiley - doctor who says he will monitor my BP every month etc. etc........

I do worry a bit and that doesn't help the BP, but I only worry because I have had to work 24/7 for the most of my life, and I would like to reach retirement and enjoy my grandchildren properly and gardening, and getting out to see places, and not having to get up at a set time or go to bed at a set time.

You seem to know a bit about it though, have you got any tips that might stop me worrying myself into an early grave?

Was this the right way to put a message on your page or have I just splashed myself across something important? I wouldn't know, I am new to all this.

Hi ...smiley - thepost is the H2 G2 newspaper..if you go to the Front page there is a link.It has some interesting stuff.
Right simplest relaxation exercise...sit or lay somewhere quiet..a lot of people do this while they are in the bath.close your eyes if you feel comfortable doing it.
Start at your toes and clench and then unclench them,then your feet and carry on right through your body even your teeth! screw up your eyes and unscrew them.When you get to the top of your head take ten breaths in an out slowly and think of a place you would like to be. Say it was the beach..imagine the sand between your toes and the sound of the sea. The warm sun on your face. Then if you have a lot of worries throw them out to sea..or some people put them on a cloud to float away.spend a few minutes thinking about the good things in your life and then rouse yourself and when you get up shake your self a bit .It sounds silly but while you are concentrating on all that clenching and unclenching you are not stressed or worried so your blood pressure lowers. If you can manage the imagination bit you've cracked it. Try doing it everyday for 10 minutes.
There are lots of good relaxation tapes on the market to listen to..the hypnotherapy ones are best. It really depends on what you feel comfortable with.
