I think we keep missing each other
I'm OK, but the Muppetteer has gone to South Africa for the week, so I'm all on my own.
How are you?

Confused, but fine. I started working with this girl, she's got Cancer, so she can't go to Kindergarden. Very sad, really, but She's a happy child.
What are you up to?

Me? Nothing exciting, just going to work like always! Peety's away for the week, so I'll have to find something to fill the time I usually spend with him. I might grow some more plants. I bought some herb seeds, but haven't got round to planting them yet. I did quite well with my coriander plants, which are growing nicely on the kitchen windowsill.

Try doing something you'd never do with him, like a girls' night out, or at your place, or paint the bedroom sky blue, or see a kitchy movie.
Jusy use it as a self quality time. I do it when my bf's gone, and it's pretty good. Makes it bareble...

Having a girl's night out requires having female friends in the same country, something I am sadly lacking.
I might watch some girly movies though. I made candles last night.

Tonight Pete is going to ring, so I am waiting in by the phone. Not that I had anywhere to go anyway. I might make some biscuits though; I fancy some biscuits and we don't have any. And then again, I might make some soup so that I've got something to bring to work for lunch for the rest of the week. Or I might do nothing. Or I might end up playing Pharoah, which is very addictive and takes forever.
How about you?

What's Pharoah?
I'm going to a sleeping problems lab, to spend the night there and do lots and LOTS of thinking!

Muppet Posted May 21, 2001
Are you having sleeping problems, or watching other people have them?
Pharoah is a computer game (ever heard of Caesar?) in which you have to build up a whole series of Egyptian cities from the time of the Pharoahs. You have to grow food, make pottery and stuff and make sure everyone has a job and enough to eat and all kinds of stuff, and sometimes you have to fight off invaders, and you have to build pyramids and the Sphinx and other monuments like that. Pete bought me the expansion pack for Christmas, so I'm playing it again (been through once already!) and its a bit of a labour of love because each level can take hours.

I'm the one with the sleeping problems, which hopefully I'll solve before I come to your house. I stop breathing in my sleep, you see... Pretty scarey, I know, but I'm still here...
That Pharoah sounds like my Sims, which I used to be addicted to.
We're now singing Westside Story tunes...
Are you still at work?
Ah...
Muppet Posted May 21, 2001
Yes, I have another few minutes before I go to work.
Do you have what they call sleep apnea (not sure how you spell it, but I figure you may well not know the English translation anyway)?
Pharoah is a lot like Sims, that kind of thing. I go through phases of playing it, or Civilization 2 or Age of Empires, then I get all played out and don't play them for ages.

I have no idea how it's called, but you basically struggle to breath every time you fall asleep.
