Looks like a pretty good site, but too complicated for old farts like me. Made a favorite of the page; may try some of the writing exercises later.
When I really write, it's mostly hard core horror/fantasy. My favorite scene is when a dying dog has a conversation with a necromancer, warning him of trouble. It's too graphic for the beeb, though. *Sigh*, and not very good, I'm afraid.
Anyway, it's a scene in a novel I wrote 3 years ago that has a lot of death and horror scenes, and way too much trivia about the meso-american cultures of Mayan and Aztecan (Pre-1492) periods to make for a smooth read. I found that stuff fascinating, so I put it in. (shrugs)
See you.

Well, I think that almost anything can be good if it's worked with right. I'm sure you'd find LJ a lot easier than you think. I have a lot of friends on there, and they range in age from mid teens to grandparents. I think you'd do find it you were interested. :D
However, if you have any short pieces you want me to glance over... feel free to email 'em to me. I'll take a look when I get the chance. They may, however, end up in line after a long piece from my boy toy I really really really owe him to look over. I printed it out a while back, and I haven't had much time to look at it since.

How do you get a live journal? I read something about being given a number by a current user. Can you do that, please?
I'd like to try it out.

I have a head ache... but I went to the Renessaince Faire today. I bought a really nifty leather bodice and stuff. And it was fun. How are you?

Deeply envious of leather bodices from Rennaissance Faires....
I am good. Bored and working hard, which is an odd combination. And looking forward to moving back into my flat (they have been refurbishing it).

I bought it from a really good place called Pendragon. They have a website here: http://www.pendragoncostumes.com/ I bought the phoenix design with blue tooling I ended up getting a medium when I thought I'd wear an xLarge according to their measurements on their site. I did find out it's seriously harder to lace oneself into one of these things than it is to have someone else lace you in while you adjust cleavage, and both of you adjust shirts and skirts to sit right. I am, however, greatly pleased with how I look in it! I paid just over $220 for it with taxes. I'm not sure if they ship internationally, but if you're willing to invest, they're certainly good. Not only do I recommend them, but I know a lot of other people who frequent faire that will recommend them also.
