this week: Laurie Anderson with Lou Reed

there is American festival this week. I will attend one discussion, two concerts.
* the discussion is wonderful original about the US elections. Laurie Anderson will be one of guests.
* the first of the Laurie Anderson concerts will be with a Dutch symphony orchestra preforming Laurie Anderson / Arvo Pärt "Fratres", Laurie Anderson / Dennis Russel Davies' "Amelia Earhart" and other American composers.
* the second of the Laurie Anderson concerts will be part of her "Homeland" tour.
special guest will be Laurie's husband Lou Reed.

the Dutch and "walking on escalator" etiquette

the Dutch do not know "walking on escalator" etiquette. every one just stands every where. if you are in hurry you need to wrestle through.
the rail company decided to give the Dutch lessons in "walking on escalator" etiquette. it is just a trail lesson in one train station. they added red footsteps where should stand still and green where you run up-/downstairs. also placed with the explanation an instructional video.
I think they tried before.
