not "heatwave" in the hot sense, but in temperature difference in the Netherlands:
in the south parts of the Netherlands it was -20C and it was "the NorthSea Islands*" +1C



* in the Netherlands called Wadden Islands, but for dramatic and distance purposes called "the NorthSea Islands".

strange indeed
...I went camping in the summer on one islands and sometimes the people who came from mainland were dressed warmly, but island weather was rather sunny and warm. I walked around in t-shird and shorts. the mainland-ariverees did soon the same...

Weather here right now is -17 C with light snowsmiley - snowman, quite some time until t-shirt & shorts weather. But I stay warm smiley - teaso there's no problem. smiley - smiley
