Baron Grim

Are you still on monthly testosterone injections? Maybe a lower dose bimonthly would be better.

That's what I'm on now. I asked my doctor about monthly injections and he said that's usually a high dosage that doesn't last the full month.

I was on the gel, but asked about injections to see if it would be cheaper. My current dosage with two large packets a day was costing $3700 per 90 days. When I run out of my current stock I'll start injections which will cost only $12 for the same period.

I wish I'd known that 10 years ago. smiley - cross

they don't seem to like monthly, or bimonthly injections here, its either gel (they said wouldn't work for me), or the nabedo (sp?) intramuscular depo injections; I was on one injection every twelve weeks, and recently moved out to every 14 weeks, and the extra two weeks is clearly not working smiley - laughsmiley - blush - quite why I cna't just have LH as a medication and produce the testosterone myself, is beyond me... I'm not best fond of the idea of the err... target glands themselves, dieing with time, and vanishing, as what happens when on exogenous application of testosterone/target hormone smiley - grr

well, E-mailed the specialist endo nurse yesterday, and now have a reply... she's spoken to Dr, and we're waiting on Drs, go-ahead (I hope), to bring the injection forward....

ouch!

Woke this morning. OK, that's a lie, I didn't sleep last night more than an hour. so got out of bed this morning, in so much muscle/bone/body pain smiley - bruised -barely able to walk properly.

so. had levo.... waited an hour had food and glucocortocoid steroids, and went to the gym.....

of the verdict "won't be able to do much today"...

twenty minutes flat out on the cross-trainer. smiley - zen
400 Abdominal crunches.
40 minutes weights, with some stretches thrown in.

Hussah. endorphins are great smiley - laughsmiley - zen cheapest and best way to get endorphins too although perhaps morphine works a little quicker smiley - laugh

spatial awareness still shoot, mind, as I discovered when making dinner...

kitchen cupboard door. opened, and slammed straight into my face smiley - laugh

opened fridge, and moved to get something out.... almost* took the door off the hindges with my forehead smiley - laugh

now, off to the pub, to get some hops, to do some oestrogen simulation/mimikary in my blood stream, and convince my body I'm not a menapausal female smiley - huh

but. sure, strange is good? smiley - zen

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

me too smiley - laughsmiley - grovel due to the long weekend, still awaiting response from nurse/Dr to see if I can bring the injection forward... though if they wait much longer it'll be at the 14 week point anyhow smiley - wah

felt dredful yesterday, couldn't move for a lot of the day as it was just too painful... felt not totally dredful this morning, but very weak feeling, painful joints etc... so went to the gym, and felt fine since then, although I was flagging a bit this afternoon, I think that was mainly the heat today smiley - puff Its cooled down a lot now though, and I just cooked homemade shish kebabs and pita for dinner (leftovers from the weekend basically) smiley - zen - we had some of the marinated lamb left, already on the skewers, and I'd left the second half of the pitta dough in the fridge, so used half of that to make two pittas each for tonight... had that with onions and red bell pepper slices, also grilled with a little oil and some oragino, and some plain couscous smiley - zen along with some low fat yougart... smiley - drool gym again tomorrow I think, the exercise seems the only thing that works, to compensate the body for a lack of testosterone smiley - huh hmm... not sure how but it certainly seems to work smiley - laugh - mind I struggled with weights today, only did about 150 reps, not the useual 300-400 reps smiley - doh
